To A Stranger You Pass On The Street

I bumped into a stranger the other day. She stopped and asked me how I was; what I was doing with my life.

It felt awkward. I told her I was working, doing a job I love and I am back home living with my parents after three years away. I asked her the same questions back – “How are you? What are you doing in life?”

She pretty much said the same thing back – “I’m busy working. I have got myself a car to take me there and back each day from my parents house”.

We exchanged smiles for a few moments and stood hovering on our feet awkwardly unsure of what to say next.

After a couple of minutes of awkwardly looking around for something else to say, I wished her well and went on my way. Continue reading

Why Failing is Acceptable

The thought of failing in something is enough to scare anybody.

Failure isn’t just about not doing well in exams or not passing your driving test; Failing has a variety of different meanings.

I couldn’t help but feel like I had failed today – failed myself, failed my boss and failed my clients – all because I had to call in sick after being up and down all night with food poisoning. I felt really guilty like I was letting everybody (including myself) down, but why? Everybody gets poorly every now and then, right? I physically and mentally couldn’t go to wdownloadork today, so why do I feel so guilty?

Whilst scrolling down my news feed this evening, I couldn’t help but notice The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt today was called ‘Must Not Fail‘ which again, got me thinking. Continue reading

“In the name of James Dean” – Guest Post by Claudia

Today, I have a very insightful guest post written by Claudia. Here, Claudia is sharing with us a very important message about sharing love and living life to the full. I hope you enjoy it! Please head over to Claudia’s lovely blog afterwards here!

I don’t know if it ever happens to you but sometimes I found myself trapped into Wikipedia reading famous people biographies. (Maybe) Creepy but true!

I don’t know how, the other day I ended up reading James Dean biography. A lot of you maybe don’t even know who James Dean was. Fair. I wasn’t born and my mom was a baby when he died (you should Google him anyway and maybe watch Rebel Without a Cause, such a beautiful movie).

Why am I telling you that? Well, I felt inspired by James Dean. He was a beautiful soul, strong and terribly weak at the same time. Strikingly handsome but tormented.

He made me realize once again how short life is. DEAN2
As far as we know, it’s the only life we get and sometimes we forget about it, especially when we’re young.
I’d like to remember more often that life is short and we should take advantage of it.
We should celebrate life everyday, trying to do the best for ourselves and people all around us.
What goes around, comes around.
And I’m talking about kindness.

My March Must-Have’s

So I decided to choose 6 things I have bought this month and share them with you. I know a lot of people do ‘monthly favourite’ tags… But I’m not sure if this is the same thing. So just in case, I am going to call it ‘my March must-have’s’ instead 🙂

I also know I’m a bit early, as the end of the month isn’t until next week, but I won’t be going shopping again this week so I am going to share it with you now instead! I have never done anything like this before, so I apologise if I ramble too much!
